One of Plant City's newer farmstand finds is also one of its most personal.

Felicia Bailey and her family moved to Plant City in 2025 and began building Bailey Homestead from the ground up a place to raise and homeschool their four children, care for animals, grow food and embrace a slower, more intentional way of life. In 2026, the family opened Bailey Homestead Farmstand, and it has been evolving alongside the family ever since.

What you'll find depends on the weekend. Farm fresh eggs and homemade sourdough mini loaves are favorites, but the stand can also include handmade items, homestead-inspired products, books and homeschool finds, and other locally made goods. That's part of its charm...this isn't a traditional store with identical inventory every week. It's a glimpse into what this family is growing, making and discovering right now.

There's something wonderfully Plant City about pulling down a country road, finding a little self-serve farmstand and realizing you can shop there at midnight if you really want to.

The Farmstand at Lexie Lane Farm is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The reason behind that schedule is just as thoughtful: the owners wanted people who work different shifts to have access to local products on their time.

Inside you'll find a rotating assortment sourced from their farm as well as other farms and small businesses: pasture eggs, raw milk, raw local honey, juices, pickles, jams, herbal remedies, natural skincare, handmade gifts and more. Among the items that tend to disappear fastest are eggs, raw milk, herbal honey, fruit rolls and whipped tallow.

Some places don't need an introduction in Plant City. Parkesdale is one of them.

The Parke family's local farming story dates to 1956, when the family relocated to Plant City and began growing in an area already nationally recognized for winter vegetables and strawberries. Today, Parkesdale is one of the places most closely associated with Plant City's strawberry identity.

Locals know the drill: strawberries, produce, citrus, plants, preserves and, when the season arrives, that strawberry shortcake. Visitors come from far beyond Plant City for Parkesdale's strawberry shortcake and milkshakes, while generations of locals simply consider a trip there part of strawberry season.

Fancy Farms tells another important piece of Plant City's strawberry story.

Carl and Dee Dee Grooms started Fancy Farms in 1974 with just 15 acres of strawberries. What grew from those acres became a multigenerational family operation, and the market eventually created a way for customers to experience that farming legacy themselves.

This is where the farmstand experience meets the kitchen. Along with fresh produce and strawberries in season, Fancy Farms has become known for strawberry treats and a farm kitchen that takes the experience well beyond buying produce or a flat of berries. Its menu has included strawberry shortcake, milkshakes, baked goods and savory lunch offerings incorporating family recipes and, naturally, plenty of strawberry inspiration.

Honey Girls Goodie Barn is a local farmstand with something sweet around every corner like jams, jellies, alongside fresh produce, fresh baked goods and much more! Farm fresh eggs are also on the offering while you can also shop their cute vintage and art pieces.

It's a welcoming stop for fresh produce and homemade treats.

Sometimes you just want to pull off Highway 60, grab fresh produce and a bag of boiled peanuts and keep going. Lott's First Choice Fruit Stand is the kind of classic roadside produce stop that feels right at home in a guide to Plant City farmstands.

Cream of the Crust grew out of a stay at home mom's kitchen and into two self serve farm stands that have become a Plant City favorite.

The owner is a third generation Plant City local who wanted to create something that allowed her to contribute to her family while still being present with her children. What started small has grown into two self serve stands and a community of customers who have supported the family more than they ever expected.

The stands are best known for fresh baked breads and homemade treats. You'll find artisan bread, a rotating selection of flavored loaves, cookies, brown butter Rice Krispie treats, seasonal baked goods and farm fresh eggs. They also carry locally made self care products from Sweet Pea Bath Co., along with homemade spice blends and buttermilk ranch mix.
